Understanding your mind
is the key to managing
your life journey.
The Voice In Your Head
You might be surprised to learn that you are not the voice in your head that pretends to be you.
The voice in your head is your ego; aka, the mostly unconscious thoughts in your mind that cause your feelings.
Instead of being the voice in your head, you are the watcher/observer of that voice in your head.
And this is good news because when you understand how the voice thinks, you can learn how to manage it.
The voice is governed by fear (of not being important, of not being heard, of death, of loss, of failure).
The voice steers you away from the positive and focuses on the negative, it complains, gets frustrated, and stressed.
The voice controls your life if you let it.
It controls you by keeping your thoughts focused on things of the past. It also conjures up an imaginary future.
The voice keeps you out of the present moment; because, this is where you can take control of it and your mind.
Your voice has you thinking in ways that don't serve you, "why me", "this shouldn't be happening", "I'm going to die", "I'm a failure", "what did I do to deserve this", and so on.
You can know that you are not the unconscious voice in your head; because, if you were present and conscious in your mind, you wouldn't be purposely saying these things to yourself.
The ego voice steers you away from inner peace, gratitude, and self-development because these are the things that help you to shift into the present moment of being aware.
Instead, the voice in your head has you suffering, complaining, feeling fearful, afraid, and anxious.
Because the past is the past, and the future has not yet happened, then the present moment is all you have.
And, if you are in the present moment, you can live with awareness, inner peace, gratitude, and grow to become your best version.
In summary, when you understand the voice in your head that pretends to be you, then you can also learn how to manage your mind, be in the present moment, and focus on the things you have control over in your life.
